Mythbound

This is a story about disorientation, discovery, growth, and transformation.
It is about strangeness and relation: who you were, who you are, and who you will become.
It is about longing, homesickness, culture shock, and finding your way in an unfamiliar place.
It is sometimes about magic and wonder, sometimes about terror and desperation.
It is about unlikely friendships and unexpected connections.
It is about unpacking and negotiating relationships with culture, history, and the past.
It is about harm and healing.
It is about dreams and half-remembered stories.
It is about generational memory: an “old country” that you've never seen, only imagined.

Mythbound: Beyond The Thrice-Ninth Kingdom is a 3-year campaign LARP starting in 2025. The player cap is quite small, so we must regretfully limit participation to those directly invited.
The genre is urban fantasy meets dark folklore, in a setting heavily inspired by the mythology and folk beliefs of Eastern Europe.

In a time and place very similar to this one, a small group of people vanish from their everyday lives. For reasons unknown, they find themselves stolen away to the Old Country, a mysterious place of strangeness, magic, and danger. What they discover there seems more like something from a nightmarish storybook than anything from the world that they know.

There, the Travelers are drawn into a contest between powerful entities, which offer tantalizing promises of health, wealth and wisdom - and the ability to go home - to a few lucky Travelers willing to play by their rules. However, not all is as it seems, and the price may be more than mortals can bear to pay. For those caught up in this capricious game, the allies they cultivate and choices they make will affect this world, and their own, in ways no one could have imagined.
